TONI'S TRIP TO THE LAND OF ELVIS
I had a wonderful trip to Graceland back in March. First we got a Limo ride to the airport. When we got to Memphis we got a van for the time we were there. We stayed at the Peabody Hotel and I not only got to see the famous ducks but I got to roll out the red carpet for them and I got to visit them up in the pent house on the roof of the hotel. We got to eat at a really cool resturant called Rondvoze it is Bar-B-Q and the food is soooo good that we wish we could go back. We then went for a cariage ride around the city. The first evening we were there me and my dad and my bother went to Beal Street and listaned to Blues till aobut 9 pm then we went home and went to sleep. The next morning we went got ready for the trip to GRACELAND. A Limo picked us up at 11 am and it was so cool the driver was so neat she showed us all the sites on the way to graceland including an apartment complex where Elivs lived as a boy and that Lisa Marie has bought and going to remodel in to affordable housing. Then when we got to Graceland we met with Donna, she was so cool she lived at Graceland when she was a little girl and use to play with Lisa Marie. Donna was able to give us a better Tour than you get with the tapes because she was able to tell us events that actually happend to her and tell us what it was like to actually live with Elivs. She has even been up in the mysterous up stairs. I got lots of cool stuff at Graceland also including T-Shirts and Elivs toys and Cups and all kinds of stuff.Even though going to Graceland was my wish the next day was EVEN BETTER. We got to go to Tuppelo Mississippi. The Birthplace of Elivs. It was So AWSOME, We drove there and met a wish volunteer at O'Charlies where we had Cake and she gave me even more presents. When we got to the house that Elivs was born in What a suprise I had, First the Mayor of Tupelo was there and he made me and honoray citizen and gave me a gold key to the city. the only other person who has been made a citizen of Tupelo is John Grissom the Author who worte "the Practice" and some other books but I can't remember.and there were news paper and tv people there that interviewed me and took my picture it was cool I even sang for them. And at the house the wonderful ladies who take care of the house were awsome they gave me a hound dog and a hand made pillow (both I sleep with every night) I named my dog houndie. I got to go in the house all by my self the ladies would not let the news people in the house. Just me and my mom and dad and brother and sister. and I got to go over the ropes and set on the bed that Evlis was born in and set on the furniture and touch thing things and I even have pictures ( the ladies don't allow pictures to be taken) and I had to promise I won't show them to anyone. They are special and I'll keep them for ever. The ladies were so nice they gave me so much stuff My mom had to Fed-X some stuff home and buy another set of suite cases to bring all my stuff home in. We had a Big Day that is for sure. the next day we went home and on the flight from Memphis to Chicago my mom and I got to set in frist class while my dad and sister and brother had to set in the back. it was so cool we got to have real dishes and food, and no one else did. :)It was a great Trip and if you know a child who is very sick and has a wish you should get in touch with your local Make a Wish Foundation. We also got a LIMO to pick us up at the air port and take us home, and now my bed room is ELVIS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM including my closet. :)

Hope to hear from you soon!

Love,

Toni
